ECG Course Description:
The Basic ECG programs taught by Life Support Associates are
designed to meet the needs of medical professionals who have never taken
organized ECG instruction. The course is also ideal for the professional who may
not have used their skills in some time and need a basic level refresher
program. The course assumes no previous knowledge or experience. The course is
specifically designed to prepare participants to successfully interpret ECGs as
part of an AHA ACLS program or in clinical practice.
Objectives:
Successful participants will be able to:
Demonstrate the ability to correctly identify Level I, II,
and III arrhythmias.
Demonstrate recognition of major life threatening rhythms.
Demonstrate understanding of the rules and mechanisms of
common arrhythmias according to pacemaker sites
Prerequisites:
None.
Completion Requirement:
Course participants not able to complete the course schedule
in the time frames specified may be asked to complete the course at another
location and date. Please arrive on time!
Completion Certificates and A.H.A. Cards:
Course Completion Certificates will be issued - on site - at
the completion of the course to those participants who have completed all
requirements. Those students who are incomplete will receive a certificate of
attendance until the deficiencies noted are corrected.

if necessary, at no charge. Course completion must be scheduled and completed
