BLS Course Description:
The Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers programs taught by Life Support Associates are designed to meet the needs of medical professionals. The course assumes no previous knowledge or experience. The course is specifically designed to prepare participants to successfully complete the AHA BLS curriculum, postest for certification and for use in clinical practice.
Objectives:
Successful participants will be able to:
Demonstrate the ability to identify patients who require BLS.
Demonstrate recognition of major life threatening situations including full arrest, respiratory arrest and foreign body airway obstruction.
Demonstrate understanding of new BLS for Healthcare guideline changes and perform the guidelines in an emergency situation.

None.
Completion Requirement:
Course participants not able to
complete the course schedule in the time frames specified may be asked to
complete the course at another date or location.

Completion Certificates and A.H.A. Cards:
AHA Course Completion Cards will be issued at the completion of the course to those participants who have completed all requirements. Those students who are incomplete will receive a certificate of attendance until the deficiencies noted are corrected.
